REQ-006 SoftOne ERP integration with the AI platform
Read-first integration of SoftOne (catalog, stock, prices, customers, orders, receivables) into the AI platform's semantic layer; phase-2 human-approved write-backs.
REQ-006 — SoftOne ERP integration with the AI platform
Need (what is being asked)
AI use cases (ERP query assistant, quote drafting, inventory insight, receivables chasing) need SoftOne data. Integrate SoftOne with the platform — read-first extracts into a semantic layer, natural-language querying over it, and later controlled write-backs (e.g. draft quotes) with human approval inside the ERP.
Context (why — what problem it solves)
SoftOne holds the operational truth (SKUs, stock, prices, customers, orders). Without it, assistants answer from documents only and the highest-value use cases are impossible.
Current state (how it is done today)
SoftOne used stand-alone; data leaves it via manual exports/Excel (assumption — to validate). Soft1 Web Services availability/version to verify (technical questionnaire).
Success criteria
- Nightly + on-demand extracts of catalog/stock/prices/customers/open orders in the semantic layer by pilot start (M5); NL-to-SQL answers verified against ERP reports; no direct writes without in-ERP human approval.
Dependencies / related
Approach: integrations-m365-softone. Dependency: SoftOne partner involvement (risk in risk-register).
